Why a yacht holiday?

Are you also fed up with crowded beaches? You also watch with envy the sails of yachts disappearing on the horizon, or motor yachts flying around your beach on the surface. There is nothing easier than to enjoy such a holiday too.

The gentleman in the captain's hat you see in the harbor drinking coffee on board a yacht may not be a millionaire on a pension. The opposite is true. The vast majority of boats are only chartered and the price of charter a boat per person per day is not significantly different from the price of accommodation in a hotel by the aforementioned crowded beach. So the gentleman in the captain's hat could easily be an ordinary citizen with a standard income.

On a yacht, however, you have the opportunity to visit places that are otherwise difficult or impossible to reach. You can spend your entire holiday away from civilization on uninhabited islands, as well as visiting ancient towns full of tourists. There is nothing more beautiful than swimming from the deck of a yacht in the crystal clear water of uninhabited bays. Every day you can be in a different place and discover a much larger area than during your land holiday.

Yachts are fully equipped with everything you need for life. On a yacht, you usually only need a swimsuit, and sometimes even that is not needed. Cabins are mostly double. Each boat has one or more toilets with a sink and shower. In the common salon there is always a fully equipped galley with a gas stove and oven, refrigerator, dishes and everything you need for cooking. However, if you cook yourself or visit the cafes and restaurants on the coast, that is up to you. You will often find a picturesque restaurant on an uninhabited island serving only yachtsmen. The standard equipment of the yacht also includes bedding, towels, inflatable dinghy, autopilot, depth sounder, speedometer, GPS satellite navigation, VHF radio, radio-MP3 player, navigation equipment, maps and safety equipment such as a life raft, lifejackets, harnesses or signal flares.

First you need to choose the right boat. Rental prices vary depending on the size of the boat, the age of the boat and the chosen season. The brand of the boat also plays an important role, if you want to have a peaceful holiday, choose from reputable brands. You also need to clarify how many adults and how many children will be on the boat and whether someone can sleep in the salon or not. Most boats allow 1-2 crew members to sleep in the salon, which of course brings a more interesting price per person, but also the need to be more considerate of others.

As for the rental location, we will rent a boat to you practically all over the world in all tourist and yachting attractive places. However, for a European, the most attractive yachting location is still the Croatian Adriatic. The very indented coast of Croatia with hundreds of islands, thousands of bays and a large number of marinas, anchor buoys or stone piers with moorings at pubs in uninhabited bays has no competition in the Mediterranean. That is why our own charter base is located in the heart of the Adriatic coast, clearly the most attractive place for yachting in the entire Mediterranean Sea.

You can rent a yacht either with a skipper for a fee, or on your own, if you have a license to steer a boat and operate a VHF radio station. When ordering a rental, you need to pay a deposit of 50% of the price and the balance within six weeks before departure. Each boat is insured for the full value with a certain insurance deductible from the owner. This insurance deductible is covered by a security deposit, which must be paid when taking over the boat. Any damage or losses caused are deducted from this deposit upon handover. In some cases, instead of paying a deposit, it is possible to agree on a rental surcharge for non-payment of the deposit in the amount of 10% of the deposit.
